Grammy Johnson’s isn’t just a name. It’s our family story.
Grammy is 73 and has been cooking longer than most of us have been alive. She doesn’t make a fuss about it—which is honestly the most Grammy thing about her.
Growing up, hot links and chili dogs were family favorites. We ate plenty of them, and they became part of the meals and memories we shared. The center photo of Grammy enjoying a chili dog is a little glimpse of that history.
When we told her we wanted to put her name on a mobile food cart, she said that was great. Then she asked who was making the potato salad. We told her, “You are, Grammy.” She agreed—but only when she isn’t traveling. That was the blessing. We took it.
Cooking is Grammy’s love language. She’ll feed you twice, tell you that you look thin, ask about your mama, and make sure nobody leaves hungry.
This cart brings together Grammy’s recipes, the foods that raised us, and the memories our family made around the table—all carried forward with her name proudly at the center.
